Gnu Snowboards has recalled nearly 8,000 of their 2012-2013 bindings due to a faulty heelstrap piece. In a statement on their website, Gnu said, “We have discovered that some anklestraps on the 2012-2013 Gnu bindings may crack creating an unsafe fall hazard. In conjunction with the CPSC we are voluntarily replacing the ankle straps on all the 2012-2013 models.” Check out the SKU number on your bindings (reference table below) or go to Gnu.com to find out if your bindings need to be replaced.
