00339The 2013 local ski season has just opened, but overseas snow holidays are in demand.

It seems you’re just not cool unless you’re going on a skiing holiday. Operators are experiencing a boom in demand from Aussie travellers, with Japan, Europe, North America, New Zealand and Australia all expecting big seasons.

The southern-hemisphere ski season has just started and there is already plenty of snow on the ground, accompanied by some excellent deals. You can pick up packages including accommodation and lift passes from less than $100 a day and many are letting kids stay and ski for free.

However, many Australians are heading further afield while the dollar is strong and flights are cheap.
